Compensation and Support

Base Salary

National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) offers a transparent and stable compensation system for faculty members. Salaries follow Taiwan’s national pay scale for public universities

Bonus Salary

Beyond the standard salary, NCHU offers newly appointed faculty members an additional monthly bonus of approximately USD 500–1,000 for up to 3 years, awarded in accordance with performance and professional qualifications.

Teaching Load Flexibility and Academic Development Support

Newly appointed faculty may apply for reduced teaching loads during their first two years. Additional flexibility is available during pregnancy and early childcare periods

Support for Internationalized and Innovative Teaching

The University promotes English-medium instruction (EMI) and innovative teaching through institutional support for curriculum development, pedagogical innovation, and teaching excellence.

Strong Start-Up and Early-Career Research Funding

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources

College of Agriculture and Natural Resources is a top-tier agricultural college in Taiwan, ranked among the world’s top 150, anchoring ESI top 1% fields in Agricultural Sciences and Plant & Animal Sciences, with three fully English-taught degree programs and nationwide field research platforms. College of Veterinary Medicine

College of Veterinary Medicine is the first and largest veterinary school in Taiwan, serving as the core of NCHU’s One Health framework and supporting nationally and internationally recognized research in animal, public, and environmental health.
